Philip E. Carby received his B.A. from Mississippi State University in 1970 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Mississippi in 1973.

Mr. Carby was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and American Bar Associations; The Mississippi Bar (Judicial Nominating Committee, 1988-1992; Fee Dispute Resolution Committee, 1992-1993); Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association (Member, Board of Governors, 1992-1995); The Association of Trial Lawyers of America (Sustaining Member).

He is admitted to practice in the Mississippi and U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.
